Treatment guides from a clinic in Myeongdong, Seoul

How Lifting Treatments Are Priced

Energy-based lifting is priced by how much energy is delivered, counted in lines or shots. A quote without that count is a name, not a price.

Evenly spaced marks on a pale surface

What you are buying

Treatment Unit Ask
Focused ultrasound Lines per depth How many lines, at 4.5 / 3.0 / 1.5 mm, over which zones
Monopolar RF Shots per tip How many shots, which tip, which areas
Microneedling RF Sessions How many sessions, and what is included each time
Threads Number and type of threads How many, which material, which vectors

Why counts vary so much

A “full face” can mean the lower face alone or the lower face, cheeks, brow and upper neck. Zones and counts together define the treatment; either one alone does not.

For threads, the count matters but so does the design: six threads placed along the right vectors do more than ten placed casually. Ask what the plan is, not only the number.

Comparing two clinics honestly

  1. Put both quotes into the same unit.
  2. Ask both what zones are included.
  3. Ask both what happens at three months if the change is smaller than hoped.
  4. Then compare.

Most apparent price gaps close once the first two steps are done.

What is not priced

The assessment. Whether your face has the tissue for this treatment to work on is the thing that determines your result, and it does not appear on any quotation. A clinic that tells you a treatment will not suit you has done you a larger favour than one that discounts it.

Actual prices are on the clinic site, where they are kept current.

FAQ

Is a higher line count always better?

No — placement matters as much as quantity, and more energy in the wrong plane is not an improvement. But a very low count at a low price is a small treatment, and that is worth knowing.

Why is one ultrasound device more expensive than another?

Consumable cost and imaging. A device that shows the tissue layers before firing costs more per treatment, and whether that is worth it depends on your face.

Do clinics reuse cartridges?

Cartridges have a fixed number of shots by design. Asking how many lines you are getting is also, indirectly, asking this.

Is a package across a year cheaper?

Often, and for lifting treatments with an annual rhythm it can suit. It only makes sense if you will be in the country when the later sessions fall due.
