Juvelook in Korea
Juvelook belongs to the biostimulator end of the booster category: it works by prompting collagen rather than by adding volume, so the result arrives slowly and lasts longer than a hydration treatment.

What it is
Juvelook is a poly-D,L-lactic acid (PDLLA) injectable in a hyaluronic acid carrier. The carrier gives a small immediate plumpness that fades; the polymer stays longer and stimulates collagen.
That two-stage behaviour is why people report the treatment “disappearing” in week two and then reappearing in month two. Both observations are correct.
What it suits
- Skin that has lost firmness rather than volume
- Fine crepiness on the cheeks, neck or around the mouth
- People who want a gradual change rather than a same-day one
- Maintenance for those who have already done hydration boosters and want something longer-lasting
It does not treat pigment, and it does not lift. For a jawline that has dropped, see ultrasound lifting or RF lifting.
The session and the course
Numbing cream, then injections spread across the area. Most clinics plan two to three sessions spaced four to six weeks apart, which is a longer interval than hydration boosters need.
| Typical | |
|---|---|
| Sessions | 2–3 |
| Interval | 4–6 weeks |
| Visible change | Month 2–3 |
| Duration | Around 12–18 months |
Aftercare
- Follow the clinic’s massage instructions exactly if they give any — biostimulators are the one category where this matters.
- No sauna, heavy exercise or alcohol for a day or two.
- Sun protection, and a simple routine for several days.
Choosing between the boosters
Rejuran and Juvelook are asked about together constantly. The short version: polynucleotides repair and calm, PDLLA builds firmness. The longer version, including how to choose if you can only do one course, is in Rejuran vs Juvelook.
FAQ
How long until I see a difference?
Expect little in the first fortnight. Change usually becomes visible between the second and third month and continues for a while after the course ends, because collagen forms slowly.
Is Juvelook a filler?
The skin version is not — it is spread thinly to change skin quality. There is a separate volume formulation used more like a filler, which is a different treatment with a different plan.
Can it be reversed?
No. Unlike hyaluronic acid filler, biostimulators cannot be dissolved. That is an argument for conservative dosing and for starting with a smaller area.
Are the bumps normal?
Small raised points settle within a day. Massage instructions are sometimes given after biostimulator treatments; follow the clinic’s rather than general advice, because they differ by product and depth.
